MAXIMIZE YOUR FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Families today need
every advantage they can get when trying to pay for
college. As a potential student-athlete, you have
the advantage over other students who are not
athletes, because you can tap into an additional
source of aid which is athletic scholarship money.
Unfortunately, athletic scholarships are few and far
between and despite your skill or desire, there is a
good chance you will have to fund the majority of
your education. The good news is, in addition to
being eligible for athletic scholarships,we've found
an easy step-by-step guide to help you access the
billions of dollars in financial aid, grants, and
scholarships that are available to you from the
Government and colleges.

How to Read (and
React to) Your Financial Aid
Receiving a letter
with those words is the goal of every scholarship
seeker. When you receive such a letter, you might
think that all you have left to do is pack your bags
and move into the dorm. But the truth is that, even
after you receive a scholarship or financial aid
award, you still have a few crucial finishing
touches to complete. If you don’t, you may face
delays in getting the money, or even worse, find
that you have a shortfall in funds.

Odds for an athletic scholarship don't depend on
participation numbers.
Many recruiting services
pitch exposure as the ultimate recruiting tool and the
number one reason that you won't be recruited if you
don't have it! While exposure is important, it's
exposure at the right level, as no amount of exposure
will help you get recruited by a coach if you lack the
skill to play for that coach and team.

American Idol and College Recruiting -
What does American
Idol have to do with college recruiting?
Well, nothing
really! However, American Idol shows that despite
“exposure” if you can’t sing worth a lick, you aren’t
going to get selected to move on or be offered a record
deal.
