Dear Eighth Graders and Parents,
I would like to give you an early greeting to the Dixon High School Family! I would like to extend a warm welcome for you and your child to visit our campus. The staff and I are looking forward to working with you and your children this upcoming year as we strive to continue to provide an exciting and rewarding educational program for each and every student at Dixon High School.
New Freshman / Parent Informational Meeting
The Dixon High School Administration and Counseling Staff are offering an evening informational meeting designed for incoming ninth graders on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 6:00 – 7:30pm in the DHS Gymnasium. Parents and students will have the opportunity to meet administrators and counselors, hear information about attendance procedures, academic requirements, ask questions about school and athletic programs, and preview scheduling materials, including course request forms and course descriptions.
Student scheduling for 2011 – 2012
DHS counselors will meet with all eighth graders on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at CA Jacobs to assist students in choosing their freshman classes. Because the course requests will be completed and turned in on that day, we encourage parents and students to talk about their choices BEFORE the scheduling date at CA Jacobs.
Please save the date for Wednesday, April 13th from 6-8pm for our Annual Dixon High Open House. You are all invited to attend and preview Dixon High! The staff and I look forward to working together with you, your child, and with the community to ensure a successful new school year on our beautiful Dixon High School campus.
Please call the Dixon High School Counseling Center at or contact us by email (first initial, last name @dixonusd.org) if you have questions.
We hope to see you all here on March 22nd and again on April 13th!!!
Sincerely,
Ivan Chaidez, Principal Lynne deBie, Counselor (A – La)
Nick Girimonte, Assistant Principal/A.D. Ricardo Rodríguez, Counselor (Le – Z)
Stephanie Marquez, Assistant Principal
Conchita Guerrero-López, Migrant Ed Counselor
