Quarterback Jeffrey Anderson was named
Most Valuable Player of the Capital Valley Conference
as Dixon High School's football team had a strong presence in the recent voting.
Linebacker Michael Hendrix was the conference's
Outstanding Defense Player.
Mark Mattingly was the
Outstanding Offensive Lineman
and
Defensive End Austin Knapp was the
Outstanding Defensive Lineman.
Running back Josh Byington,
wide receiver Rhiley Norton,
defensive back Josh Chamblee
and linebacker Sam Welch
were also named first-team.
Offensive linemen Hunter Kett, Jacob MacKenzie,
Mario Ramirez and Adam Watkins were honorable mention,
along with wide receiver/defensive back LaRoy Jones
and defensive end Tyler Gilmore.
Hendrix was also outstanding defensive player
on the all-academic team
and
Mattingly was the outstanding offensive lineman.
Welch also earned all-academic honors.
